You want these to happen way out in the outskirts , hoping it stays clear of suburbs , this was not one of those , a deadly disaster for every minute it was moving on the ground .

This camera was placed quite close to the other, more famous one that ended up providing better images because 1) it was about 15 above the ground and was therefore never completely submerged by the water, and 2) it wasn't aimed directly into the wind, and so the lens remained clearer and less obstructed. But both videos are excellent depictions of how catastrophic a storm surge can be.

My grandfather was a few blocks from the damage zone of this tornado I remember driving through the area where the tornado hit mostly and a lot of the house and buildings were flattened

0:11 was when the tornado decided speed was key

And they built a rv park under the George Bush and 30 bridge where that monster mowed right over ironically. Lol

This EF5 and the one in Mississippi, look almost identical. Also behave identical. Thats insane!

It’s really really sad to see this I know what it’s like growing up in tornado alley in Texas but when Moore Oklahoma got hit by this F5 tornado, the saddest part was is that the sirens did not go off ahead of time the only thing that they need to do is get a lot more better and issue tornado warnings an hour ahead of time

Why aren't you guys deploying live cams for Hurricane Idalia like you did for Ian? I LOVED watching the surge cams while I worked last year. Was it due to the nighttime landfall? It'd still be cool to see the moment's leading up to and then at first light to see the aftermath.

If remember the chase and the cameras. Was exciting.

So the question is, we getting another set of cameras for the up and coming hurricane set to hit in the next 36 hours?

Wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with NOAA and cloud seeding in the days prior...right??.
